Weather permitting, there will be a single blast near I-81 Exit 29 (Route 174/King Street) sometime between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday.

Motorists in Cumberland County are advised there will be a rolling stop Thursday on southbound Interstate 81 near Shippensburg so a contractor can perform blasting at a nearby business development on Walnut Bottom Road .

As a safety precaution, there will be a rolling stop of up to 10 minutes on southbound I-81 beginning about 1,000 feet north of the exit while this work is performed. There will be no restrictions on northbound I-81 at this location, according to a press release.Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
