Rockies second baseman Brendan Rodgers is dealing with another injury, dislocating his left shoulder while diving for a ball in the infield in the second inning during Tuesday’s Cactus League game against the Rangers at Surprise Stadium.
Rodgers dislocated his left shoulder while diving for a ball in the infield in the second inning during Tuesday’s Cactus League game against the Rangers at Surprise Stadium.
“This was a pretty classic ,” manager Bud Black told reporters after the game. “The shoulder joint popped out on him and they put it back in. Not unlike Yonathan Daza last year. Daza was out nearly a month last season after dislocating his shoulder on a diving catch in center field. He was on the injured list from Aug. 12-Sept. 6.
Rodgers made his major league debut on May 17, 2019, but played in just 25 games before right shoulder surgery ended his season.
