Former Vice President Leni Robredo said Friday that the coffee table book of her personal account of her 2022 presidential campaign, largely anchored on volunteerism, would be released on May 9 - a year after her first ever poll defeat.
The 390-page book titled “Tayo ang Liwanag: Journeying Through People's Campaign" chronicles her journey from contemplating the 2022 Presidential run, joining the race, the efforts of the volunteers who campaigned house-to-house, and falling short of the ultimate goal.
“It weighs three kilos, almost 400 pages chronicling the journey we took. This is my personal account of what was happening starting with before the decision making, when we decided to run... there are a lot of portions [that I have] never shared with the public before,” Robredo added. “This is about the process, and I am excited about it because this chronicles our history together. We called it the people’s campaign because you were every part of it,” she said.
Robredo said the book launch will be open to the public and a book signing will be held in the said venue, but the details are still being ironed out since the venue’s space was limited.
