Former vice president and now Angat Buhay chairperson Leni Robredo’s support for the current Office of the Vice President’s (OVP) was recognized by Vice President Sara Duterte herself during the “Pasidungog” event held on Monday, June 5. | ManilaBulletin
Despite their different political affiliations, Robredo was one of the 432 recipients of the OVP’s certificate of appreciation, which recognizes the partners’ “institutional support” to Duterte’s office.
Robredo, who was a staunch critic of the Duterte administration, ran and lost against President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., the Vice President’s running mate. The Pasidungog was a celebration of collaboration, appreciation, and recognition of the partners who have played a pivotal role in supporting the operations of the OVP.
Two Public Assistance Division Extension Offices, in Lipa, Batangas and in Tondo, Manila, were also established to offer the same projects of the OVP.“Through the satellite offices and the PAD extension offices, we can immediately, effectively, and efficiently respond to the needs of our people for social services and other available government programs,” Duterte said.
