Rob Zombie has revealed images from the interior of the 1313 Mockingbird Lane set on his TheMunsters movie, showing perfectly creepy details and impressive construction.
Musician and filmmaker Rob Zombie has shown off the first images from the inside of the 1313 Mockingbird Lane set for his upcoming adaptation of The Munsters. The film will mark the first time since 1966 that The Munsters franchise had been adapted for the big screen. To date, Zombie has been generous with photos and updates from the set of his production, which is currently taking place in Hungary.
The Munsters TV series originally aired for just two years, from 1964 to 1966, but still made a considerable impact on audiences in that time. Blending both classic monster movie horror elements and 60s era sitcom humour, The Munsters was unlike anything else seen on TV up to that point.
If Zombie can bring the sort of fun out of his Munsters movie that the original series had in abundant supply, then he could very well find himself with the first big hit of his filmmaking career. Not only does the film have an opportunity to give fans something satisfying, but with its PG rating, children will have the opportunity to be introduced to the franchise as well. This could mean a very bright future for The Munsters and Zombie.
