LONDON - Pinasinayaan kamakailan nina Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri at Senator Bong Go ang art exhibition sa London bilang pagpupugay kay Dr. Jose Rizal na inorganisa ng Sentro Rizal sa London at Philippine Embassy sa United Kingdom sa pakikipagtulungan ng One East Asia Gallery sa Singapore.
Pinamagatang "Dancing With Glory," tampok sa art exhibition ang mga likha ng mga visual artists mula sa Pilipinas. Dumalo rin sa pagbubukas ng exhibition ang mga opisyales at kawani ng embahada sa pangunguna ni Philippine Ambassador Teodoro Locsin, Jr. at ang Filipino community mula sa iba-ibang sector.
Napapanahon ang tema ng exhibit lalo na't ginugunita ngayong taon ang ika-120 anibersaryo ng Kalayaan ng Pilipinas mula sa Espanya. Labing-isang isang pintor mula sa hanay ng bagong henerasyon ng Filipino visual artists ang lumahok sa exhibit tulad nina Abi Dionisio, Demi Padua, Ezekiel Fajardo, Isko Andrade, Jayson Cortez, Reyna Raymunda, Welbart Slowhands, Ejem Alarcon, Aldrine Alarcon, Didier Alarcon at Luke Alarcon.
“Ang aking trabaho ngayon na nandito ang pamagat ay the “Stoic Rizal.” Natutuwa ako kasi si Jose Rizal, although na-exile siya sa Dapitan. nagpakabuti pa rin siya sa buhay niya kahit alam niya na anytime ay ipapatay siya ng mga Kastila,” sabi ni Welbart Slowhands/ Joel Bartolome, visual artist.
