Temperatures around 90 degrees are expected for virtually all of the Bay Area on Wednesday as the National Weather Service issued a Heat Advisory for the mid-week.

High temperatures around 90 degrees were forecast in several cities across the region for Wednesday, including 91 in San Jose, 90 in Concord, 88 in Oakland, 89 in Livermore, 86 in Santa Cruz, 89 in Palo Alto and 86 in San Francisco. While the heat wave may make a beach day sound ideal, the NWS issued a Beach Hazard Statement for Wednesday and Thursday, warning that there’s an increased risk forand rip currents. The statement warns that the ocean water may be unsafe for inexperienced surfers and swimmers as unexpected waves could sweep people into dangerous currents.
In tandem with the beach statement, the NWS issued a Heat Advisory as temperatures rise. The advisory is issued when the heat could cause complications for those who are sensitive to hot weather. Those who will be exposed to the outdoors for long periods should take frequent breaks and drink plenty of fluids, according to the NWS.Harriette Cole: I finally told my parents I'll be leaving the U.S.
