Former championship swimmer and women’s sports advocate Riley Gaines said she saw Lia Thomas’s “male genitalia” while being forced to share a locker room with the biologically male swimmer, who identifies as a transgender female, last year.
Gaines is renewing her opposition to transgender female athletes participating in women’s sports, calling upon the National Collegiate Athletic Association to establish separate locker rooms."We were not forewarned beforehand that we would be sharing a locker room with Lia,” Gaines told Fox News.
Gaines, who barely lost a race to Thomas, has slammed the NCAA for failing to protect the integrity of women’s sports. She attended the State of the Union address on Tuesday as the guest of Rep. Lisa McClain .
