Rihanna teased her return with a new cryptic trailer for her headline Super Bowl halftime show Friday morning.In the 30-second clip, the Grammy award winner first appears as a silhouette in a dark empty room before creeping forward into full view as a backing track featuring the voices of fans and commentators speculating about her long-awaited ninth album, R9.
This trailer is the second teaser Rihanna fans have received this week as the Super Bowl nears. On Monday, the NFL’s official Instagram account posted a short clip of the singer with the caption: “5 weeks from today.” Rihanna will be the first performer in the rebranded Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show. Super Bowl LVII will take place on Sunday, February 12 in Glendale, Arizona. The show will be produced by DPS with Roc Nation, Jesse Collins as executive producer, and Hamish Hamilton as director.
