Veterans can now have their needs met at the Community-Based Outpatient Clinic located at the Mountain View Medical Center on Phillips Field Road.
FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Veterans, community members, and government officials gathered on Friday, February 24 for a ribbon cutting ceremony in Fairbanks.
The Community-Based Outpatient Clinic, located on the 2nd floor of the Mountain View Medical Center on Phillips Field Road, follows the much smaller clinic previously used at Bassett Army Community Hospital on Fort Wainwright. The new clinic will provide primary care and physical therapy, acupuncture and chiropractic care. Being off-base, the center is expected to be easier for veterans to access.
“This new clinic represents a commitment from the VA that is being fulfilled, and it’s being fulfilled here and in other parts of our state,” Sullivan said.
