The kinetic, ageless Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band can't stop playing the hits for 47,000 fans at the Alamodome.

One 12-year-old girl attending her first concert with her mom described the Chili Peppers as “old-ish.” But like almost everyone else, she was on her feet for the rock stars from the first note.Except for closed off seats behind the massive stage and screens, every section was open and full or nearly so; it appeared that by night’s end most of the expected 47,000 had shown up.
The guitarist’s high pitched background vocals supported Kiedis throughout, and his short solo rendition of Loggins and Messina’s “Danny Song” had cell phone flashlights swaying.
