A resolution seeking to create a select oversight committee tasked to monitor intelligence and confidential funds has been filed in the Senate.
The oversight panel will be composed of the Senate president, three members from the majority bloc, and one from the minority bloc.
According to the senator, this is not the first time that the oversight panel will be established as it was convened since the 10th Congress. But considering the nature of the CIFs which are usually not subject to regular auditing rules and procedures" of the Commission on Audit , Zubiri said in his resolution that there is a need to reconstitute the oversight panel.
