Some residents in Angono, Rizal started to converge at the town plaza where a huge projector screen was placed to wait for the results of the elections a few minutes after the official closing of the voting time.

An improvised white screen was placed at one corner of the town plaza to project the results of the canvassing of votes from the main projector inside the session hall of the Sangguniang Bayan.

At nearby Angono Elementary School where several voting precincts are located, members of the electoral board and the poll watchers of the local candidates waited for the release of the receipts that the machines were counting as of 8 p.m. Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting volunteer Samuel Ravello told Manila Bulletin that since the voting started at AES, there was no information about major glitches in some 25 polling precincts at the school that served voters from the town’s largest village — Barangay San Isidro.

As of 8 p.m., May 9, the municipal board of canvassers has yet to receive any transmission of results coming from the precincts. Data from the office of Mayor Jeri Mae Calderon showed that there are some 70,000 plus registered voters in the Art Capital of the country.
