Kelly Cooper, a Republican who unsuccessfully ran for Congress in 2022, has announced he is running again in 2024.
This will be the second time Cooper has run for office. He faced a tough Aug. 2 GOP primary, defeating five other candidates to become the Republican nominee against Stanton, a former Phoenix mayor and now three-term member of Congress.
The economy was a major issue in the race, with Stanton running on legislation passed under the Biden administration: the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the CHIPS and Science Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act. Cooper attributed
