Davonte' Neal, a two-time Gatorade Arizona High School Football Player of the Year at Scottsdale Chaparral who later played for Arizona, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in Arizona, theNeal joined his former high school coach, Charlie Ragle, in January to be an assistant coach on his Idaho State staff. Ragle led Chaparral to three consecutive state titles from 2009-11 with Neal leading the last two as a receiver and cornerback.
According to the Idaho State Journal report, Neal was arrested on May 25 in Pocatello, Idaho, on an extradition warrant from Maricopa County.
