We should elect politicians who respect common sense, who will weigh carefully all viewpoints without too many ideological convictions, but rather with some degree of insight into the bigger picture.
It would be perfectly understandable as a resident of PA to wonder what our bloated, overpaid legislators do with the money we pay into the state’s coffers on April 15th every year. Especially since they just got a hefty raise, and have done nothing much recently.
On the federal level, in the 10th District, with U.S. Rep. Scott Perry representing us, we could ask if U.S. tax dollars there are being wisely used. The job description for a U.S. Representative is rather vague and left up pretty much to him or her. On Rep. Perry’s website he assures us he takes care of his constituents’ needs on the federal level, and that he is busy developing policy to push through Congress. Good for him.
But what else does he do? Rumor has it that Rep. Perry is making himself scarce: closing two of his three local offices; being difficult to reach by phone. And we know that he continues to beat the worn – out drum of election fraud. He refused the opportunity to tell the truth about his role in the insurrection and is alleged to have asked Donald Trump for a pardon “just in case.”
When I read my Patriot News, I see issues begging for attention on both the state and the federal level: our tragic lack of mental health services, an epidemic of daily mass shootings, drug abuse, teen and LGBTQ suicides, and so much more. Perhaps if Rep.
I believe that we should elect politicians who respect common sense, who will weigh carefully all viewpoints without too many ideological convictions, but rather with some degree of insight into the bigger picture. That way we can in turn trust that they will do the right thing, even if we don’t always agree. I do not believe Rep. Perry fits this description. If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
