Republican Congressman introduces impeachment articles against President Joe Biden
Rep. Greg Steube presented the articles as a number of other congressional committees continue building more inclusive cases to remove Biden as the country's head of state.He filed articles of impeachment against Biden, which charge the president with complicity in his son Hunter Biden's alleged crimes, who he is accusing of helping to shield him from prosecution.
The same day as his introduction of the articles, Steube brought forward legislation requiring the head of the Secret Service to file reports about illegal use of controlled substances in the White House. This follows the Secret Service's completion of its inquiry into cocaine being discovered at the White House in July — without identifying a person of interest. Steube named the legislation the,"Helping Understand Narcotics Traces at the Executive Residence Act.
In a memo released by House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer, R-Ky, on Wednesday, he claims that foreign payments to the Biden family totaled more than $20 million. However, Democrats say there is zero evidence proving the president accepted any payments, or behaved in misconduct.
