“The drug policy is something we’re trying to look at as a country,” Remulla told participating countries during the panel discussion on on the sidelines of the 52nd session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC). “President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has already instructed the DOJ, law enforcement, and all those involved in drug policies to look at the syndicates behind the drug distribution rather than the users and minor offenders,” he added.

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has instructed the Philippines' law enforcement agencies to go after drug syndicates instead of street-level players, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla said on the sidelines of the 52nd session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.

Remulla made the remark in reply to questions on the administration’s current policies against illegal drugs. “The approach of our new administration is a whole-nation, all-government solution to every step of the criminal justice process,” Marcos said.
