In attendance over Zoom was Cowessess First Nation Chief Cadmus Delorme, who touched upon the importance of having Indigenous consultation as part of the bid to become a museum.Article content What’s more, in accordance with the recommendations of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, Delorme feels that more Indigenous people need to be in decision-making roles, like the board of the Heritage Centre.
Right now though, there are still things that need to change. Robinson said for one, there has to be an improvement to the bilingual capacity of the centre for guests.
