Ray Lewis III played football at Lake Mary Prep and spent a year on the practice squad at the University of Miami, where his dad was a star linebacker.

He rushed for 5,283 yards and 53 touchdowns in three seasons, according to Max Preps. He was rated as a three-star running back as a recruit, according to 247/Sports.
He went on to play college football at the University of Miami, where he was on the practice squad as a freshman in 2013. After one season at Miami, Lewis transferred to Coastal Carolina and then Virginia Union. “Ray was a tremendous young man who played with the spirit of a lion," his former coach at Virginia Union, Mark James, told the Baltimore Sun."He was a great asset to the Virginia Union family. He will always be a Panther. May God bless his family.”
