One of the props for the player photos was a white Porsche with teal interior, matching the colors of the NFL team. A set of photographs of Jones show the formersome of the photos on his social-media accounts with the message “281-330-8004.” If that didn’t ring a bell, Jones included “#BackThen” on hisSoft-tissue injury keeping Jahmyr Gibbs out of Lions’ practices
The phone number belonged to rapper Mike Jones when he made his hit album “Who Is Mike Jones?” and appears in the lyrics for Jones’ top single “Back Then.” When Mac Jones joined the Jaguars in a trade with the New England Patriots in March, he revealed that he was more than a rap fan, but a rapper in an introductory video made by the team., “but, I mean, I golf a little bit. I like to go fishing, like to be on the beach. I like to do a little bit of rapping. I do, though. I do. I’ve got a couple of songs. Nobody knows about it, so I’m letting the world know now I’m not in New England.
“Head coach Doug Pederson informed the team that select players, including a majority of veterans who participated in the offseason program to date, will be excused from mandatory minicamp in its entirety,” theJones has been preparing for his fourth NFL season but his first as a backup. In his third season as New England’s quarterback, Jones was benched for the final six games of the 2023 season, then traded to Jacksonville this offseason.
