A Cumberland County man will serve six years in prison after pleading guilty to raping a 12-year-old near a Carlisle park.A Cumberland County man was sentenced to six to 12 years in state prison Tuesday for the rape of a 12-year-old girl in Carlisle’s Goodyear Park last spring.
According to case records, the incident came to light in June when the victim told an adult acquaintance she’d had sex with a man on a trail near LeTort Park, and the adult notified police. The site was later confirmed to be part of the borough’s Goodyear Park, which lies on the other side of LeTort Spring Run.
