The chairman of the House Committee on Transportation is in favor of the proposed privatization of the EDSA bus carousel or bus way system by the third quarter of next year.
Antipolo 2nd district Rep. Romeo Acop expressed his support to the endeavor on Thursday, Dec. 29, in an interview over Radyo Pilipinas.
He said the Philippines can turn to countries like China, Hong Kong, and London for a blueprint in terms of implementing a bus way system. The ranking solon said other factors such as fare hikes and the movement of crude oil price in the world market also need to be studied by transportation authorities.
