RANCHO TEHAMA, Calif. – A wildfire leveled 10 structures and was threatening roughly 160 others Monday night in Tehama County, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
The Rancho Fire ignited earlier in the day near Rancho Tehama Road and Alpine Drive in Rancho Tehama, the Cal Fire Tehama-Glenn Unit said in a social media post. The fire covered 700 acres and was 20% contained as of late Monday, according to Cal Fire. In addition to destroying 10 structures, the fire had damaged four others and was threatening another 158.
Evacuations were ordered for Rancho Tehama Road, Stagecoach Road, Oakridge Road and Apache Trail, Cal Fire said. Warnings were issued for Osborne Road and Nomlaki Lane.
