Growing up, Raisman said she was taught to fear strangers, not trusted adults like Nassar, who was generally well-liked by parents."Predators groom not only the children but the adults around them." "It's been very eye-opening for me, learning these things," she said." had a lot of the red flags, and I didn't know what was happening to us."Encouraging open communication with kids, and most importantly, believing accusers when they come forward, are keys to ending abuse, according to Raisman.
