Tropical cyclone The southwest monsoon, or 'habagat,' is expected to bring occasional rains to Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon in the next three days, according to PAGASA. | ManilaBulletin
PAGASA said Chedeng was last spotted 1,375 kilometers east-northeast of extreme Northern Luzon around 10 p.m. on Sunday.
PAGASA issued a heavy rainfall outlook for several areas in Luzon due to the expected occasional rains caused by the enhanced habagat. PAGASA said Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Zambales, and Bataan may continue to experience occasional heavy rains until Tuesday night. “Under these conditions, flooding and rain-induced landslides are possible, especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards,” PAGASA warned.Over the next two days, PAGASA said the enhancement of the southwest monsoon may result in “gusty” conditions over several Luzon areas, particularly along the coast and in upland/mountainous areas exposed to winds.
