Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will affect southern Palawan, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-tawi due to the ITCZ, the convergence of winds from the northern and southern hemispheres where rain-bearing clouds form.Meanwhile, the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or localized thunderstorms due to the easterlies, or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean.
PAGASA also advised the public to exercise caution during severe thunderstorms, which are characterized by heavy but brief rains, lightning, thunder, wind gusts, and occasionally hail.related stories
