Rain or Shine got off to another bad start and paid dearly for it as the Elasto Painters bowed to Korean powerhouse Anyang KGC, 87-77, in the William Jones Cup on Thursday, August 17, at the Taipei Heping Gymnasium.
The Elasto Painters trailed at 17-28 after the opening quarter while their turnovers allowed the reigning Korean Basketball League champion Anyang to stretch its lead to 20 points en route to a comfortable victory.
Rain or Shine, which fell to 1-5 in the tournament, takes a much-needed respite on Friday after playing six games in as many days.Coach Yeng Guiao's wards managed to grab their first and, so far, only win in the tournament when they subdued Iran, 98-90, in double overtime on Wednesday.Anyang KGC improved to 4-1.Rain or Shine returns to action on Saturday when it faces Japan's under-22 squad.
