Authorities arrested a drug suspect and rescued a minor during a buy-bust operation in Payatas, Quezon City, according to James Agustin's report on GMA Integrated News’ Unang Balita on Tuesday.
The suspect was arrested inside a house after an undercover police officer was able to buy illegal drugs from him during an operation on Monday. Quezon City Police District Station 3 Deputy Commander Police Major John Wayne Verzosa said the neighbors of the suspect have reported him to the police. The 17-year-old minor who was captured during the operation, meanwhile, said he was just dragged into the incident and that he was surprised that he was also arrested.Versosa said they have been receiving reports that the minor was being used to deliver illegal drugs or sometimes acts as a lookout when the suspect has drug transactions.
According to the police, the suspect will face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.—Joviland Rita/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
