The Quezon City government green-lighted mass actions of both progressive and Marcos-allied groups along Commonwealth Avenue for the first State of the Nation Address of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. READ:
In a statement on Friday afternoon, the Quezon City local government confirmed that its officials met with Bayan secretary general Renato Reyes Jr., Sanlakas leader Flor Santos, National Union of Peoples Lawyers’ Obet de Castro and Carlos Montemayor Jr., and Jose Pedrosa, and Philippine Build Better Movement ‘s Lieu Razos to discuss “how to uphold the fundamental constitutional right to freedom of peaceful assembly and free speech, while simultaneously ensuring public order and safety.
