A 56-year-old person with disability miraculously survived with only a fracture after he was hit by train of the Philippine National Railways along Arnaiz Ave. corner Osmeña Highway North Bound, Barangay Pio Del Pilar, Makati City on Monday, Mar. 13 READ:
According to eyewitnesses, the victim, a resident of the barangay, was hit by the coach when he tried to cross the railroad tracks despite the barrier booms that were already down.
"Pagtawid po niya, nahagip po siya ng tren. Hindi naman po siya totally nasagasaan ,” Brgy. Pio Del Pilar Rescuer Alvin Besa said in an interview with ABS-CBN. Basa said the victim sustained a broken left arm and other injuries. He was rushed to the nearest hospital after receiving first aid from the first responders.Meanwhile, the PNR management said it is already investigating the incident and urged the public to exercise caution when passing through the railroad tracks.
