Chery Tiggo staged an epic comeback to escape Petro Gazz, 16-25, 11-25, 25-13, 25-22, 18-16, in Game 2 of their best-of-three battle for bronze showdown in the PVL All-Filipino Conference on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.The Crossovers eked out a dramatic victory after overcoming a 0-2 set deficit to level the series to one game apiece. However, the fate of the two clubs will be decided by the Game 2 result of the finals series between Creamline and Choco Mucho later today.
Sabete would give Petro Gazz its second match point at 15-14 before Buding Duremdes set up Nabor for an opposite kill to tie things up anew. Nabor then squeezed the ball through the double block of MJ Phillips and Sabete to give Chery Tiggo the match point, 16-15. But it was Eya Laure who got the job done, unleashing a power kill off the hands of Djanel Cheng before the former UST star uncorked a cross court attack to seal it.
