UAAP closed out yet another memorable season of basketball with the men’s basketball finals match against the UP Fighting Maroons and the De La Salle Green Archers. Last December 15, fans saw riveting action and intense gameplay from both teams at the Araneta Coliseum.
UP big-man and PUMA Hoops Squad Star Quentin Millora-Brown left an indelible mark in his only season as he scored two clutch free throws, clinching the title for the men in maroon. Millora-Brown put up an amazing performance, scoring double-double for points and rebounds. Throughout the finals series, Millora-Brown showed up in the most critical moments, keeping the State U’s championship dream alive and earning him the tagline “To the Res-Q.
Aside from his impressive ball-handling skills, Millora-Brown turned heads during the finals series as he was spotted rocking the latest in LaMelo Ball’s collection, the PUMA MB.04s in ‘Scooby-Doo’ on the hardcourt. The shoe’s design took inspiration from The Mystery Machine, capturing the blue, green, and orange of the iconic cartoon van. Unique Scooby-Doo graphics are also shown on the heels of the shoe.
