Pulse Asia Research Inc. bared on Tuesday, May 3, that it consistently released to the public the results of their regular quarterly and the periodic pre-election surveys without fear or favor.
In a statement, Pulse Asia said that being a non-partisan, non-profit, non-stock organization of academics, releasing the survey results manifests the value our organization places on the people’s right to information.
Pulse Asia then addressed a social media post by an esteemed statistician, Dr. Romulo Virola on May 2, 2022. There Pulse Asia said that Dr. Virola asserted that there are “flaws” in the Pulse Asia survey that must be rectified. “We thank Dr. Virola for taking the time in analyzing data from our surveys. Nonetheless, it is important to correct his assertions as regards the flaws in our surveys,” the pollster said.On the under-representation of socio-economic classes, A, B, and CVirola’s correction of their March 2022 survey by applying what he believes to be the distribution of socio-economic classes and adjusting the values for the under-represented groups.
While Pulse Asia understands that survey results will elicit varied opinions, it said that they take exception to claims such as being bought; being compromised due to the infiltration of partisan groups and that it is illegal to publish survey results 15 days before election day.
