Jake Diebler lands another five-star talent and bets on young upside to lead Ohio State’s frontcourt by adding former Duke power forward Sean Stewart to pair with Aaron Bradshaw.
Like Bradshaw, Stewart is a five-star prospect from the 2023 recruiting class who will be a sophomore for the 2024-25 season. Also like Bradshaw, he didn’t see a lot of playing time as a freshman, but is a spectacular athlete with the potential to blossom into a star in a likely starting role at Ohio State.
The commitment is another sign of Diebler’s recruiting chops, as Ohio State’s new head coach has now landed three five-star recruits – also including– in a month’s time. And it speaks to how Diebler is looking to build his roster as he’s prioritized athleticism and versatility while being unafraid to bet on unproven talent with high upside.
