President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. recently signed four new laws renaming circumferential and bypass roads, a bridge, and a national highway in various areas in the country, including one named after the late diplomat and businessman Eduardo “Danding” Cojuangco, Jr. The Chief Executive signed last March 21 Republic Act No. 11988, renaming the Urdaneta City Bypass Road to “Ambassador Eduardo ‘Danding’ M. Cojuangco Jr. Avenue.

” This covers the villages of Nancayasan, Santo Domingo, Santa Lucia, Camantiles, and Anonas in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan. In a four-page Republic Act No. 11987, President Marcos also renamed the Bohol Island Circumferential Road as “The President Carlos P.
