President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. has arrived in the United Arab Emirates for a working visit, scheduled to meet with the UAE's leader and discuss gratitude for the UAE's support of Filipino talent.
President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday morning for a working visit . He landed at 2:06 a.m. UAE time, as reported by the Presidential Communications Office Acting Secretary Cesar Chavez. The President is scheduled to meet with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE 's leader, in Abu Dhabi.
Accompanying him on this visit are former Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos, whom the PCO noted has close ties to the UAE royal family, Environment Secretary Toni Loyzaga, National Commission for Culture and Arts chairperson Vic Manalo, and Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Charles Jose. The PCO also mentioned that Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, and Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado Estrella III will serve as part of a caretake committee while Marcos is away. Additionally, Marcos plans to express the country's gratitude to the UAE for the flourishing of Filipino talent in an environment that values kindness, respect, and tolerance
