Both teams sent their players to the locker room after the brawl was cleared and officials ran the final 3:31 of the second quarter off the clock with neither team on the field to reach halftime. It was at time point that administrators of both schools agreed to halt the game for safety reasons, especially since it was a non-region game.
“It will be a learning experience and there will be consequences for the actions that were made,” Hurt said. “There will be consequences from the association as well as from the school board and school system. Football is an extension of the class room. Mason Stuart, Zion Chapel: Stuart accounted for five touchdowns and 232 yards in the Rebels’ 39-6 win over Pleasant Home. Stuart rushed for four touchdowns and 137 yards on just nine carries and passed for 95 yards and one TD on 8-of-11 passing. He was also 3-of-5 on extra-point kicks.
