Hammock, the third of three Ariton pitchers, picked up the win, working 6 2/3 innings of relief of no-hit, scoreless ball with six strikeouts. Gabe Glover was 3-for-3 with a double and a run batted in and both Colon and Michael Byrd had a single and RBI for the Panthers.Carroll 14, Ashford 4: Ashford struck for three runs in the top of the second inning, but it was all Carroll after that as the Eagles scored six in the second, three in the third, one in the fourth and four in the fifth to end it on the 10-run mercy rule.
Also for Opp, Nelson Hall drove in two runs and Porter Nelson, Nolan Brown, Colby Ballard and Landon Langley all had one hit and one RBI. Kaiden Bedsole went 2 2/3 innings, giving up both hits and the run, while striking out three. Hunter Edmondson pitched a 1 1/3 scoreless and hitless innings with three strikeouts and Eli Jones had a scoreless and hitless final inning with one walk allowed.
