The two pranksters have now released the footage of the video call, in which they disguised their identity as a former Ukrainian president.
LONDON - Two Russia n pranksters tricked British Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, David Cameron, into believing he was on a video call with Petro Poroshenko, a former president of Ukraine .
The video is around 15 minutes long and depicts Cameron outside on his phone as he talks to the pranksters. Although a lot of the conversation is of little note, Cameron does mention a private dinner he had with former United States president Donald Trump, where he persuaded Trump to push Republicans to vote to offer military aid to Ukraine.
"Trump is convinced there's a deal to be made and that's not the case because Putin wants to much more," he said.London's Foreign Office said the call was an attempt to distract from the war in Ukraine, and despite previously confirming the prank did occur, it did not comment on whether or not the video was authentic.
