Possible tornado in Guadalupe County one of several reported across the region Monday
A truck is knocked on its side after a tornado hit a shopping center near I-35 and Texas 45 in Round Rock, Monday. Multiple possible tornadoes likely touched down across South Central Texas, including in Guadalupe County, after severe weather pushed through the region Monday afternoon.
The National Weather Service said it is working to confirm that the tornadoes did touch down, calling Monday's severe weather a 1-in-15 or 20-year event for South Central Texas. Of concern to the weather service was that the severe weather developed along a busy Interstate 35 corridor during rush hour.
Multiple homes were damaged and several injuries were reported after a likely tornado touchdown around 6 p.m. in Kingsbury, northeast of Seguin in Guadalupe County.
