Porsche will show a pair of new GT 911s this Friday afternoon. You probably don’t need us to tell you it’s a GT3, given the shrouded silhouette seen here and the fact that there hasn’t been a 992 GT2 yet. Porsche is promising the new GT3 - the eighth in an illustrious quarter-century of the badge - will be ‘even more emotional, offer customers even more individuality and feature innovative details’.
It also says that new Porsche motorsport-developed 911 will be presented in two variants, so it seems safe to assume that bothwill continue alongside each other. Beyond that, very little has been confirmed: Andreas Preuninger will be at the reveal, as will Walter Röhrl and Jörg Bergmeister. There’ll probably be a lap time to talk about. Otherwise nothing has been made official apart from a 17:30 reveal time.
But we can speculate, of course, with plenty in the back catalogue to go off. There won’t be the same excitement of the manual’s return or the Touring’s introduction, as there was for the 991 update, because they both already exist. That being said, the ‘.
