The Poong Nazareno - Davao will commemorate its 10th Feast Day on January 9, 2024, and devotees encourage all Dabawenyos to attend this year's Traslacion . The event organizers have invited the youth and families to join the sacred festivities as a way to thank the Poong Jesus Nazareno for the blessings they have received this year. This year’s theme is “Pabilin kamo kanako, ug Ako magpabilin kaninyu (John 15:4).
” As part of the celebration of the 10th Feast of the Holy Lord Jesus Nazareno here in our City, the organizers of this feast announced that in order to bring the Nazareno closer to His people, the official replica will be taken out and visit three parishes within the Archdiocese of Davao during the days of the Novena, from December 31 to January 8. The replica will visit the Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Parish in Indangan, Buhangin, Davao City, on January 4 to 5; then it will proceed to the St. Mary of the Perpetual Rosary Parish in Cabantian, Buhangin, Davao City, on January 6 to 7; and finally, it will be at the San Alfonso Maria de Liguori Parish in Mandug, Buhangin, Davao City, on January 8, 2024. On January 9, the day of the feast of the Poong Nazareno, there will be a solemn Traslacion procession starting at San Alfonso Maria de Liguori Parish, proceeding to the Our Lady of Peñafrancia GKK Chapel in Dela Tigatto, Buhangin, around 10 a.m. and at 6 p.m. During the Traslacion, the public is encouraged to bring their own image of the Poong Nazareno to be blessed by the priests
