Skating season has come to an end at the city\u0027s community ponds.
The Saskatoon fire department has put the ‘No Skating’ signs back up at community ponds.A city media release announced on Tuesday that the ice covering the ponds is no longer reaching the minimum 20 cm thickness to be deemed safe.
Ice on the South Saskatchewan River is also starting to melt. The media release reminded everyone that the river ice is never safe to be on, at any time.
