We had an insurrection attempt in which two of the Fulton County commissioners actively participated.
We’ve all been through a wild political ride in this country. I want to share with you my perspective on the local politics of late.
I grew up in Fulton County. For the first 18 years of my life, I lived and worked in the county. I joined the Navy. A whole new world opened up to me. I served with dedicated Americans from all walks of life, from millionaires to those who grew up in places like Watts. After a long career, I needed to decide where I wanted to retire. I had fond memories of the people and clean mountain streams and air of Fulton County. After decades of traveling, I decided to come back home. To my amazement, the county politicians allowed big government to drain Meadow Grounds Lake and allow pig factories to spread millions of gallons of waste throughout the pristine environment we all enjoy.
Then the election. We had an insurrection attempt in which two of the commissioners actively supported and participated. These same politicians allowed a politically motivated group access to your voting machines with a thumb drive. In the Navy, we all knew that for us to survive we must depend on and trust our fellow shipmates. We all took the same oath “I, _____, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same.”I wonder how seriously the two commissioners take their oath.
