Anchorage police are warning of icy conditions on the Glenn Highway after four separate single-vehicle rollovers were reported in a 10-minute span.
Police are warning of icy road conditions Friday after officers responded to a string of vehicle collisions along a stretch of the Glenn Highway north of Anchorage.
Police and members of the Anchorage Fire Department were in the process of responding to multiple collisions along the highway from Boniface Parkway to the North Birchwood exit north of Eagle River, police said inA dispatcher with the police department said four separate single-vehicle rollovers were reported within a 10-minute span: one at Boniface and the Glenn Highway, one along the highway near Fort Richardson, one at the North Eagle River exit and one between the North and South Birchwood...
The rollover at Fort Richardson involved injuries, but the dispatcher said no one was taken to the hospital from the scene. Police asked drivers to avoid the areas of the accidents if possible and to use care when traveling on the highway.
