A woman allegedly paid someone to steal her car from a Cincinnati auto shop rather than paying the money in full owed for repairs.

/Gray News) - A woman in Ohio allegedly paid someone to steal her car from an auto shop rather than paying the full $3,500 she owed for repairs.Kitu Veal, owner of Kitu’s Auto Group in Cincinnati, says 28-year-old Terrella Lewis brought her car in for repairs, but when it came time to pay, she didn’t have the money.

Veal said he offered to help her by moving the car to his secondary location, where it remained parked while she worked things out. Veal said he thought the person behind the wheel was attempting to steal from the car or steal the car itself. But police claimed in an affidavit that Lewis gave the suspect a key to her car and paid them $30 to steal it so she could avoid paying the repair costs.
