TACLOBAN CITY – A 26-year-old police officer was killed in a head-on collision on Tuesday, September 12, in Barangay Ipil, Ormoc City, Leyte.

The victim was identified as Police Patrolman Marvin Lawsin, assigned to the Retooled Community Support Program and a resident of Jaro, Leyte.

Investigation said Lawsin was driving a motorcycle on his way to Barangay Dahug, Ormoc City when a pickup truck driven by Alberto Fernando of Barangay Cogon, Baybay City, Leyte, overtook another motorcycle in front and swerved into the left lane.Lawsin was taken to the Ormoc District Hospital where he was declared dead due to serious injuries.
