No arrests have been made in the Wednesday morning shooting.
The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office said 41-year-old Lamar Lewis was shot in the chest around 10:46 a.m. Wednesday while sitting in a car on the 200 block of North Second Street in Columbia.
Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:32 p.m., the coroner’s office said. Another person was injured in the shooting and taken to a hospital. Witnesses reportedly told police a man in a black hooded sweatshirt was seen running east on Avenue F toward North Third Street after the shooting. No arrests have been made.
