The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Wednesday released photos of two persons of interest in the shooting of a photojournalist in Quezon City on June 29, 2023.

In a press conference, QCPD chief Police Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III presented to the media the photos obtained from the CCTV footage captured hours before the attack.

According to Torre, the police already have an "idea" about the identities of the persons of interest. "Alam ko nanunuod sila. So I really think it is best for their interest to just surrender. I think they are outside Metro Manila. Yung iba sa kanila outside Metro Manila," Torre said. On June 29, Rene Joshua Abiad, a photographer for Remate Online, was in a car with some relatives in Barangay Masambong when another vehicle blocked their way.before fleeing.
